Overview A Controller Area Network (CAN) is a serial half duplex and differential two-wired asynchronous communication protocol that allows the microcontrollers and other devices to communicate without a host computer. The CAN core is a bus controller that performs communication according to the CAN 2.0B, and CAN FD specifications according to ISO 11898-1.
