MIPI D-PHY TSMC 22ULP & TSMC 22ULL Silicon Proven IP Core for IOT and Wearables products is available immediately

February 22, 2021 – T2M-^IP The global independent semiconductor IP Cores & Technology provider, is pleased to announce the immediate availability of Silicon proven MIPI D-PHY Tx & Rx IP Cores which are fully compliant to the MIPI D-PHY specification version 1.2 supporting speeds of upto 2.5Gbps per lane on TSMC’s industry-leading 22nm ultra-low power (TSMC22ULP) and 22nm ultra-low leakage (TSMC22ULL) process technologies targeting IOT and Wearables. The MIPI D-PHY IP is pre-integrated with DSI Tx, DSI Rx, CSI Tx and CSI Rx Controllers as part of the total MIPI Imaging and Display IP Core Solution offering.

The MIPI D-PHY Tx & Rx IP Core consists of an analog front end to generate and receive the electrical level signals, and a digital back end to control the I/O functions. This includes a PLL, a Clock Lane and four Data Lanes for MIPI DSI or CSI data transmission. This MIPI D-PHY can be used as a 5V tolerance GPIO bank.

The MIPI D-PHY IP Core is silicon proven, validated with CSI & DSI Controller IP Cores, VIP as a Total IP Solution and has been licensed by multiple customers. When compared to 28nm high-performance compact (28HPC) technology, the MIPI D-PHY IP for 22ULP and 22ULL provides a 20% area reduction, a 40% speed gain and more than 30% power reduction. This MIPI D-PHY IP Core is specifically optimized for low power applications targeting wearables and IoT Display applications.

TSMC 22nm ultra-low power (TSMC22ULP) is a very popular technology for applications which includes digital TVs, set-top boxes, smartphones and consumer products in terms of its power, performance and area (PPA) optimization.

The MIPI D-PHY IP Core is also available silicon proven in TSMC 28nm, TSMC 40nm, GF 55nm & GF 65nm pre-integrated with controller IP Cores as a total solution available at extremely competitive pricing.
